General Information Services, Inc. Named by HRO Today Magazine as One of Top 13 Workplace Screening Companies

General Information Services, Inc. (GIS), one of the largest and fastest growing employers in Chapin, SC, has been recognized by HRO Today Magazine as one of the top 13 full-service workplace screening providers in the nation. This is the third year in a row that GIS has earned a place in HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen for workplace screening.

HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen survey is conducted by contacting 25 leading workplace screening providers to determine the number of employees screened during the previous year and to request a list of top competitors from each provider’s perspective. These votes are tallied to determine the companies that are to comprise the Baker’s Dozen. According to HRO Today Magazine, the companies chosen to be a part of the Baker’s Dozen are considered to be “the most progressive vendors in corporate screening…and are at the forefront of trends, continually advancing delivery of screening services.”

The Baker’s Dozen survey provides HR Professionals with information about top quality providers of criminal screening and background verification services. With increased governmental compliance pressure and the threat of litigation hanging heavy in the air in HR offices at businesses large and small, information about where to turn for outsourcing these services is extremely valuable.

The Baker’s Dozen survey also provides companies in the workforce screening industry with important information on where they stand in the market with their customers and with their competitors. Being ranked among the best in the industry becomes a goal that helps facilitate growth and advancement towards less costly and increasingly more effective workplace screening options for employers.

Acts of Kindness at GIS

This holiday season, members of the Pangea Implementation team helped out a family in need. They adopted the family through The Ronald McDonald House. Together, along with clothes for the family and toys for the baby, they got the family a gift card that could be used for other items the family might need. In addition to this family, our Reporting Department adopted two families from “We Care.” They held a bake sale, which raised $560 for the families. We are thankful to have employees that are so willing to help out and make the holidays a little brighter for families in our community.
